You’ve been warned “Gas in Canada is purchase by the liter not by the gallon like in America.” I normally pay about $2.39 per gallon in America, while Canadian’s pay about $11.10 per liter. We paid double the price for half the gas. We will never complain about gas prices again.
“Don’t forget to wear your Toque”, we were told by our concierge. What the heck is a toque I asked my husband? Our concierge must had seen the look on our face and pulled out a toque and gifted it to us. It was what we Americans call a knitted hat… After having a good laugh, I put on the toque and wore it proudly.
Canadian’s are brilliant! They got rid of their pennies. America should follow in their footstep. Any thoughts on how they will now refer to a penny pincher?
Canadian’s say “Eh” at the end of a sentence as in a form of a question to seek confirmation or assertion. Example, “We’re going to dinner, eh!”
Canadian’s are one of the friendliest people hands down. We ran into a couple at an event we attended and after telling this couple how we had the most horrific road trip as we went through two snow storms and how I am now traumatize, they offered to give us their address and phone number in case we run into bad weather on the way back home. Who says that? Canadians do…They know just how to make people feel welcomed.

May 17, 2017 at 6:26 AMWhen I was still working a 9-5 deskjob in the corporate world, one of our bosses was Canadian and she was the sweetest, most respectful person I’ve known. To think that she holds a very important position in the company and yet she does not have the slightest bit of snobbish attitude.

May 17, 2017 at 11:41 AMI have never been to Canada but my husband has. He loved that Canadians were very friendly. I love talking to Canadians via Facebook because they are so much more friendly. I hope to visit Canada one day. It is more reasonable than some other countries since I live in the US. I learned a lot about Canada when I watched the show How I Met Your Mother…lol.
